Building and Infrastructure

SINTEF Building and Infrastructure will increase focus on research in the building and construction sector in close cooperation with the industry. Our research groups work with large research programmes, but also with the small enterprises in the building industry. We work for more innovation and increased productivity, but also for something that will benefit society in general: A built environment of better quality.

Products and services

SINTEF Building and Infrastructure's many areas of expertise make us a complete research institute serving the building, construction and housing sectors.

Our laboratories and testing facilities are central to our activities both in R&D and certification/approval. We are also appointed Notified Body for several product areas.

Sharing knowledge is important to SINTEF Building and Infrastructure. We put great effort in developing and publishing knowledge products and research documents. The most important being the Building Research Design Sheets. We also produce books under the imprint name SINTEF Academic Press.
