MARINTEK Research Programmes

Many of our research projects are carried out in collaboration with the authorities and industrial organisations. The Research Council of Norway plays a central role in this process, in that it also coordinates Norwegian participation in EU research programmes. This sort of research is often organised in the form of large multi-annual programmes which are run by specially appointed boards. The research institutes also frequently involve a number of industrial companies in major programmes, in order to tackle challenges that face whole sectors. These programmes are known as Joint Industrial Projects.
