Hydrocarbon Process Chemistry

The Department deals with the development and improvement of catalysts and adsorbents within the chemical and petrochemical industry. Emphasis is put on the upgrading of oil and gas.

Competence

Synthesis and preparation of oxides, porous materials, supported catalysts and metal complexes
Advanced characterisation
Testing and screening of catalysts and adsorbents; fluidized and fixed bed reactors
Combinatorial chemistry or parallel technology directed towards catalysts and adsorbents
Molecular modelling
New heterogenous catalysts
