Decision support tool for optimized hull efficiency and maintenance
The SopranWEBTM is a data refinement tool using information from the ship daily reports about speed and consumption to extract the hull condition. The objective is to enable the ship owner to decide optimum time for hull maintenance action like docking or polishing of hull or propeller. In future version of the product engine condition and enhanced planning facilities are planned.
SopranWEBTM takes data from any system. For automatic input of data the information must comply with an XML scheme. Data from reporting systems transferred to SopranWEBTM via e-mail will automatically be processed and published on the web page defined by the ship owner (normally the intranet).
The analysis provided is the hull condition trend, taking into account any performed maintenance as shown in the figure. In addition time utilisation, the reported usage of time on a voyage, can be viewed in detail. In addition a planning calculator for speed/consumption is provided utilising the accurate information about the actual hull performance.
