Monopoly regulation

SINTEF has in particular been working with the Norwegian monopoly regulation, i.e. how Norwegian grid companies are regulated by NVE (The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate).

Some key issues are:

• Efficiency measurements (DEA analyses)
• CENS -  Cost of energy not supplied
• FASIT - Fault and supply interruption information tool
• Models for the regulation of grid companies

Foreign regulation regimes have also been studied.
