Accidental Load Effects (collision, fire)

Collision/Impact:

• Ship Collision with offshore structures
• Resistance of tankers to extreme ice impacts
• Structural damage due to grounding
• Explosion response

Fire:

In close cooperation with ComputIT AS (www.ComputIT.no), evaluation of need / optimum design of passive fire protection,(PFP) on structures are performed. The fires are computed using advanced CFD technique (KAMELEON FireEx), and the impact on the structural system is simulated using the computer tool USFOS.
