The aim of this project was to strengthen the market position for the lighting manufacturer Glamox in an internationally demanding market.
The project has focused on developing an electrochemical process for making high quality surfaces based on inexpensive materials.
- The patented process allows using a low purity aluminium alloy rolled to a standard mill finish quality, essential factors for cost reduction
- The process creates a reflector surface with a unique recognisable visual appearance; the Glamox reflectormat quality, designed for the new generation of T5 light sources
- The material is part of a new Glamox luminaire design that has been awarded a national design prize
