Direct Communication

SINTEF Energy Research has several activities regarding direct communication or two-way communication as it is also called. Direct communication is an important part of the projects “User Flexibility by Efficient Use of ICT” as well in “EFFLOCOM”. Activities in these projects are among other large-scale establishment of direct communication to 10 000 end users, evaluation of socio-economic benefit by establishment of direct communication and common international experiences regarding peak power regulation based on direct communication.

SINTEF Energy Research has written the report “Advices for establishment of direct communication” (in Norwegian). EBL Kompetanse  is selling the report. SINTEF has previously written the report “Strategic decision basis for establishment of direct communication” (TR A5205) (in Norwegian). The report may be useful for Norwegian and Swedish utilities that consider establishment of direct communication to their end users.
