Ecoplan
ECOPLAN is a decision support tool providing forest owners with guidance in long term forest treatment planning ECOPLAN offers the possibility to analyse consequences due to a specific restriction. A forest area can be divided into a set of unique treatment units. ECOPLAN generates a treatment plan for each of the treatment units. The plan consists of a list of activities scheduled in time. ECOPLAN allows for multiple scenarios with the possibility of comparing different strategies.
ECOPLAN is implemented with a client-server architecture, where the server consists of a scheduling kernel and a forest simulator. The number of clients is arbitrary. Typical examples are user interfaces to define the problem, analyse and view the results.
