Fire Safety Engineering

This discipline include the use of  mathematical models to:

  • Calculated tempertures in a tunnel during firecalculate the development of fires in order to determine heat loads, spread of flame and smoke production
  • calculate fire scenarios offshore, on board vessels and also in building materials.
  • estimates of rates of development of fires on the basis of materials and fuels, geometries and ventilation
  • estimates of smoke diffusion in order to determine levels of personnel exposure
  • modelling at several technical levels depending on approach desired, and development and modification of suitable models
