Services

SINTEF NBL is the Norwegian resource centre regarding fire safety. We can offer:

SINTEF NBL is appointed as a Notified Body for several product areas both for buildings and ships. Together with SINTEF Building and Infrastructure we are able to offer the necessary services and documentation to give products access to an international marked.

We work on applied research in various subject areas, and within extinguishing using water mist, tunnel safety and jet fire SINTEF NBL is in front both nationally and internationally.

Laboratories

Our laboratories are first-class and maintain a high international level.

SINTEF NBL has one of the largest special purpose laboratory for large scale fire experiments, as well as an outdoor test site which enables us to test oil and gas fires for offshore, ship and process industry.
