Learn about The hunt for Legionella pneumophila

Environmental control of Legionella pneumophila
SINTEF Health Research has a well-established range of activities in the field of the prevention of infectious diseases via environmental exposure. We perform our own laboratory analyses of pathogenic bacteria, but we also collaborate closely with the microbiology departments at St. Olav’s Hospital in Trondheim and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. SINTEF Health Research, Dept. of Microbiology, generates new knowledge about the identification of infectious bacterial strains in the environment, particularly Pseudomonas and Legionella.

Gemini center for microbiology

Department of Microbiology is situated at the Laboratory Center at St. Olav's Hospital, closely co-operating with the scientists at St. Olav's Hospital and the University of Trondheim.
