SINTEF Multiphase Flow Laboratory joins in new national infrastructure

06.11.2013 The Research Council of Norway recently awarded IFE and SINTEF 40 million NOK to upgrade their multiphase flow laboratories. This marks the beginning of a new era within multiphase flow research in Norway and a re-vitalized collaboration between IFE and SINTEF.

The main objective of the CO2 Field Lab project is to assure and increase carbon storage safety by obtaining valuable knowledge about monitoring of CO2 migration in geological formations. This will enable detection of possible CO2 leakage at the earliest possible stage.
